The service was recently initiated on the train daily between Charlotte and New York City, via Raleigh, N.C., Richmond, Va., Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. "Carolina Club" customers can kick back in seats with even more leg-room than regular Amtrak coach customers and enjoy recently released movies, cartoons for children or varied audio programming with their complimentary headsets. "This new service responds to customers' requests for a more refined service," said Dennis Hale, the product manager of the train. "The Carolina Club Service' will reflect the spirit of hospitality that is the hallmark of Carolinians." The Carolinian also offers sandwich, snack and beverage service. The "Carolina Club" charge is competitive for value-conscious leisure and business travelers.
