Adults can make the round-trip for only $12 and each adult can host up to ten children ages 2-15 for $6 each. These fares make the trip ideal for youth groups, summer camps or just an outing to one of the public practices on July 22, 30 and 31, or August 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8. 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Service is provided on the Amtrak Pennsylvanian and the Amtrak Three Rivers, leaving from the Pittsburgh Amtrak station, 100 Liberty St., at 7:20 a.m. and 10:55 a.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and Sundays at 7:20 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. The trains arrive at the Latrobe Amtrak station, 329 McKinley Ave., at 8:14 a.m. and 11:48 a.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and Sundays at 8:14 a.m. and 1:33 p.m. The Pennsylvanian leaves Latrobe at 3:34 p.m. daily, arriving in Pittsburgh at 4:54 p.m. The Three Rivers departs Latrobe at 8:39 p.m. daily, returning to Pittsburgh at 10:00 p.m. Both trains make an intermediate stop in Greensburg. Both trains are unreserved, enabling passengers to simply arrive in Pittsburgh and purchase tickets.
