The train, manufactured by the European consortium ABB Brown Boveri, will be operated at normal speeds by Amtrak between Battle Creek and Detroit and between Kalamazoo and Chicago. The train, on loan to Amtrak from Swedish State Railways, probably will spend one day in stationary display for public viewing but the location has not been selected that we are aware of. Since its arrival in the United States, the train has been operating in the Northeast corridor, where it has reached speeds of about 125 mph.
