             Bruchhausen-Vilsen  --  Heiligenberg  --   Asendorf

Thank you for your interest in the DEV, who founded and operates the
First Museum Railway of Germany. Our narrow-gauge steam railway
(1000 mm, app. 39 inch) runs from Bruchhausen-Vilsen to Asendorf in
the state of Lower-Saxony, Germany. Bruchhausen-Vilsen can be found
app. 35 km south of Bremen.


DEV days of operation in 1996
=============================

In 1996 our trains will operate:
  - saturdays from the 6th of july to the 28th of september
  - sundays and holidays from 1st of may to the 3rd of october

The following table presents to you an overview of our 1996 operating
schedule. For each month a list of all operation days is given together
with a suffix of the type of operation. See the notes below for the type
of operation and special events.

         Br.Vilsen dep.: 11.00am; 1.10pm; 3.00pm;
         Asendorf dep.: 12.00am; 2.10pm; 4.20pm;
         on May 26 additional "Orpheusexpress" Br.Vilsen dep. 7.30am.

  June 22 & 23: Historical weekend with freight train operations.

  June 24 & 25: Workday rides for schools and groups.
         Br.Vilsen dep.: 09.00am; 11.00am (more rides if required).

  July 20: "Schlemmer-Express", Br.Vilsen dep. 7.00pm
         (Reservation required) - culinary ride with 5 Meal-Stations.

  August 17 & 18: Railfan Spectacular, bring your camera!

  September 6 & 7: "Kartoffel-Express",  Br.Vilsen dep. 7.00pm
         (Reservation required) - late ride with a special potatoe dinner.

  September 8: Open House at the museum / historical harvest day at Asendorf;
         additional motorcar rides, schedule see Pentecost.

  Nov. 30, December 7/14/21: Train rides with Santa Claus,
         Br.Vilsen dep.: 2.00pm; 4.15pm.

  December 1/8/15/22: Train rides with Santa Claus,
         Br.Vilsen dep.: 11.15am; 2.00pm; 4.15pm.
