I checked out your interesting site. Although I have lived in Canada for over 25 years, I grew up in and around Harlow, Essex and I'm very familiar with the Epping-Ongar line (when it was operated as part of the Central Line.) I never actually rode it to Ongar though. Depending on my mood (and my finances) when I went to London I'd either get the train from Harlow Town to Liverpool St. or the tube from Epping. When I was still at school I used to bike all over the area, including North Weald and Ongar. I remember that Blake Hall had the only level crossing on the LT Underground. I haven't been back home for 5 years, which I guess was before the DMU started running.

I'd like to see someone do a website on my other favourite G.E. branch lines in the area, namely Stanstead Abbotts-Buntingford, Elsenham-Thaxted, Bishops Stortford-Braintree and lines through Saffron Walden and Haverhill.
